Al Ghadeer - Community Living in a Strategic Location

Al Ghadeer has been developed by the Abu Dhabi based Aldar Properties. It was launches in October 2007 as a mixed-use development spreading over 3 million square meters to offer Abu Dhabi residents the best in affordable luxury living. 

Al Ghadeer was first launched by the real estate developer Sorouh, but the company merged with Aldar Properties later. After initially announcing an ambitious plan to build over 6,000 homes, the plan was scaled down in the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis. The developer decided to launch 1,900 units. Later, in 2014, another 130 homes were sold at sales prices starting from AED 500,000 for a studio apartment and AED 3 million for a three bedroom villa.

Al Ghadeer is located at the border of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in an area called Seih Sdeirah, next to the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi. Its strategic location ensures easy access to the Abu Dhabi International Airport as well as to the Jebel Ali free zone and southern Dubai. Al Ghadeer is a popular choice amongst expats looking to move to Abu Dhabi, especially whose work requires frequent travel to and from Dubai.

Al Ghadeer features 2,130 residential units including villas, townhouses, apartments and terraced apartments. These houses are available across the following types and sizes:

  • Villas - Three bedroom villas, approximately 2,400 square feet in size.
  • Townhouses - Two bedroom townhouses, ranging from 1,188-1,990 square feet.
  • Apartments - Studios (459 square feet), one bedroom units (659-736 square feet) and two bedroom units (1,029- 1,057).
  • Terraced apartments - Studios (456-485 square feet), one bedroom units (656-680 square feet) and two bedroom units (1,054- 1,134).
