Al Reef is a residential development and one of the first planned communities in Abu Dhabi. It was launched in 2006 by Manazel Real Estate. The master-planned community is broadly divided into two segments - Al Reef Villas and Al Reef Downtown.
Al Reef Villas – Al Reef Villas is a gated villa community built over 1 million square metres. It is situated adjacent to the Abu Dhabi highway is only a five minute drive away from the Abu Dhabi International airport and Al Raha beach. The community is divided into four clusters based on their architecture – Arabian, Desert, Mediterranean and Contemporary.
These sub-communities feature over 2,300 villas & townhouses and 1,800 apartments. The villas and townhouses are available in various types ranging from two-five bedroom units with a built-up area of 1,832-3,749 square feet. The apartments range from studios to one-three bedroom units with a built-up area of 430-2,368 square feet. The developer recently launched another phase in Al Reef Villas in 2014 which will add 860 new two and three bedroom villas to the community. These units were launched at sales prices starting at AED 1.7 million.
Residents have access to a number of facilities like gyms, swimming pools, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, mosques, restaurants and cafes. The closest mall is Al Raha mall, which is only 3 kilometers away from the Al Reef community.
Al Reef Downtown – Al Reef Downtown includes 46 low-rise apartment buildings which offer more than 1,800 apartments. These apartments are available in various types and sizes ranging from studios (269-624 square feet), one bedroom units (798 square feet), two bedroom units (1,055-1,237 square feet) and three bedroom units (1,560-2,517 square feet).
The Al Reef Downtown complex features a community-swimming pool, a gym, a convenience store, restaurants, secure parking and 24-hour security. With rents within an affordable range, Al Reef Downtown is a popular residential choice for the middle-income segment amongst expats.
