Dubai Sports City is a multi-venue sports city in Dubai. It is a dedicated hub for sporting activities and was launched in 2003. Dubai Sports City is the brainchild of three partners, Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni, Abdulrahman Bukhatir and Abdulrahman Falaknaz. The community offers a mix of residential, retail, commercial, leisure and recreational facilities which creates a destination that offers something for everyone.
Dubai Sports City includes the following:
Dubai Sports City Multipurpose Stadium: This is an outdoor stadium with 60,000 seats and mainly used for athletics, cricket and football.
Dubai Cricket Stadium: A stadium with 25,000 seats and is popularly known as Ring of Fire.
DSC Indoor Arena: A stadium that can accommodate 10,000 people and is designed to conduct all hard court games like volleyball, handball, tennis, ice hockey etc.
Rugby Park: This is a 5000 seat rugby park and is the newest initiative at Dubai Sports City.
Dubai Sports City Hockey Stadium: The hockey stadium situated at DSC provides world class facilities for athletes and local enthusiasts.
The Els Club Golf Course: The Els Golf Club is designed by pro golf legebd Ernie Els and is Ernie Els’ first golf course design concept in the Middle East.
Apart from the world class sporting facilities, Dubai Sports city also has some well-planned and stylish residential sub-communities on offer. The most popular amongst these is Victory Heights, a beautifully landscaped villa community. Its 1,000 + villas and townhouses are spread around the golf course and feature green surroundings, walking trails and playgrounds.
